It's my monster...but with elements of King Ghidorah from Godzilla...and the design is almost spot on to what I imagined!
But! As an artist and a good commentator, I must also point out the flaws in this!
It's nothing with the monster. That is just beyond wicked sick. However, the top of the scaffolding, which you have Scoot standing on...held the Crusader's tree house. The monster climbed around inside the scaffolding like a giant jungle gym as it chased her up it.
Either way, it doesn't detract from the fact that this pic is beyond awesome. Epic job!
yeah, i'm aware of that :3 i didnt want to do the full tower-stairs thingy because i tough it would take attention from the hydra, if i would want to put more details, i would put some bandages on scootaloo and a few blood marks, XD
oh, and i wasnt sure about how long the neck without head should be, you say that scoot saw three necks and two heads, but if the neck would be full long, it would mess around with the other heads, so i make it a little less than half long.
also i think you never say how the hydra eyes were, so i just use apple bloom and sweetie bell eye colours XD
That's the point. x3 The hydra heads Are Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom respectively, so you were spot on with your choice for the eyes. As far as the neck goes, it would be just long enough to distinguish it as a missing head, so you're all right with what you've got there.
And yeah, I can see your point about how too much detail could detract from the focus of the image. Good call on that too. :3
I've got the other monsters up in the Silent Ponyville folder on my gallery, if you wanna take a crack at them. I love seeing how others interpret my ideas into their own visualizations.
